I just can't seem to get more than one update in within the same month!  Sorry!  And to those of you who have pending orders, everything has now been shipped.  I apologize for the delay, but I now know what it means to say "my plate is full."  Also, I didn't forget Nikki's birthday (who on earth could!?), I did send him an email and he thanked me very, very much.  :)  I can't believe that man is 41.  You'd never know it to look at him.  I found something interesting on Motley.com today.  It's what I've been saying since the Motley vs. The Earth tour in 97.  "Frank Carlton Serafino Feranna (not Ferrano like previously reported due to the Rolling Stone misprint in '87) was born December 11, 1958 in San Jose, CA."   I noticed that when they played the video during Nikki's bass solo and his father's gravestone said "Ferrana" instead of Ferrano.  It took the official website this long to catch that??  hehe... Anyway, Crue has been very, very busy.  The new demos have come and gone from their website.  1st Band on the Moon, Timebomb and Porno Star.  Out of them all, I'd have to say that Porno Star is my favorite, though I am feeling personally that the lyrics are not all that they could be.  They seem to be lacking something.  Maybe they'll get a touch up before the official release.  I've downloaded all three demos so far and eagerly await more!  I think it is soooo cool of Motley Crue to pre-release their tunes for us to get some feedback.  Also, Donna did her 23 questions for Metal Sludge.  It's hilarious.  Some people are taking it totally the wrong way of course, but I honestly didn't see anything THAT terrible after reading them.  It's all in fun.  BTW ...  Happy "late" 4th Anniversary to Sixx & Donna.  (Has it been 4 years already?!?)   :)

L.A. Guns is currently working on some new tunes to hopefully be released next year.  I've heard it's the old style LAG that the majority of us love.  I'm keeping my fingers crossed that they get on a tour some time in the Y2K.  Their live album at the Key Club should be released around March-ish.  Keep an eye on their website for details.  www.lagunsweb.com

Diner Junkies are showcasing for M3's management in Atlanta, GA on January 7th.  If you're in that area, haul all your friends over there for the show.  Their new album, Stone's Place, has a tentative release date in February.  We're looking to give the website a complete overhaul in the next month or two.

Unfortunately, that's all I've got for now.  I'm still out of the loop... if anyone has a map, send it my way please.  :)  I'll post more when I get a chance.  Get over to the message board and let me know what your opinions are on the new Crue!!

November 15, 1999

I do believe this website is long overdue for an update.  Unbelievable how busy things can get when you’re responsible for more than one website.  Concerts tend to take up a lot of my time too though.  ;)  Let’s start out with a little Motley update for ya….

There doesn’t seem to be a whole lot of news on the Motley front.  According to Americoma, the release date for 1958’s Diet for a New America has been pushed back to March 2000.  Last email I received from Nikki, he commented that he thought ‘Don’t Laugh (You Might Be Next)’ would make a good first single.  As for the live Crue album, that hits the shelves on November 23rd.  I received an email from a Crue fan suggesting that everyone purchase the new CD between December 28th and 31st.  If enough people purchase the CD at that time, doing so would put Motley Crue in at #1 in the 1st week of the new millennium.  Not a bad idea, if you can handle waiting another month to purchase the CD.  :)

I picked up LAIDLAW’s First Big Picnic.  Not a bad CD, if you’re into the softer side of rock.  My favs are Send My Baby Home and Wastin’ My Time.  There’s a couple other catchy tunes though.  You can preview them all at www.americoma.com, which by the way I hear has taken off to an excellent start.  Speaking of Americoma, Flash Bastard has an album due out in January 2000.  I think this is going to be one I have to purchase.  I haven’t listened to all of their tunes off the website, but from the few I’ve heard, I really dig it.

L.A. Guns has been on tour with their original lineup for the past month or so.  I’ve been to 4 shows in the past few weeks and I’ve got to say that I am impressed.  They are getting up there and kicking some serious ass.  I took off work and went to see them last week, Wednesday.  We spent about 4 or 5 hours before the show driving Phil and Tracii around Lansing.  LOL  It was a lot of fun.  (Thanks again for dinner, Trace!)  I should have some pictures to put up on the site soon (after I update the LAG site with pix of course!)  Anyway, they’ve been playing one of their new songs off Black Beauties, Time.  Great song!!  Not sure if it’s worth purchasing the entire BB CD just for that tune though.  I think the production on that CD ruined it for me.  However, Tracii gave me his Killing Machine CD and also Gilby Clarke’s Live ’99 CD and I would suggest that you go purchase both of them now!  I am pretty sure that Gilby’s CD is available in the US.  I think.

At long last, Hair of the Dog has been signed to Spitfire Records.  We should have their new album, RISE, in our hands early next year after they re-release their self-titled first album on Spitfire.  No tour news yet that I’m aware of, but I’m sure they have something in the works.  I am really looking forward to seeing them on the road again.  Check out their website, at www.hotd.com for more news.

OMG… I went to see Steve Vai a few weeks ago.  The show was spectacular to say the least.  I could easily BE that man’s guitar.  :)  He played a lot of tunes off his new CD, The Ultra Zone, which I highly recommend purchasing ASAP.  I’ve had it in my CD player since the day it was released.  Relax Bee Bee.  I had the pleasure of briefly meeting him after the show.  What a really sweet guy.  :)  Oh yeah, and Eric Sardinas opened the show.  Guitarist Extraordinaire.  Let me tell you.  His CD is next on my list of “must have” CDs to purchase.  He’s newly signed to Sepetys Entertainment Group.  Check him out at his website, www.ericsardinas.com!

Wow… let’s see, what else.  I picked up a CD called Remembering White Lion by Mike Tramp.  Not bad.  Definitely a different tempo and feel to all of the songs, but still fairly listen-able just the same.  I also bought the Guttersluts’ Screaming at Deaf Ears CD.  So far my favorite song is still December, but there’s a lot of great tunes on it.

The Diner Junkies have not yet officially released Stone’s Place, however, it is available for purchase through their website at www.dinerjunkies.com if you’re interested.  It’s full of awesome tunes.  Seriously!  You can check out some of the tunes off the CD at www.mp3.com/dinerjunkies if you want a sneak preview before purchasing.  Right now I believe the Junkies are label shopping, however, there are a few shows scattered here and there about the midwest.  The next one is in Peoria, IL doing a before and after show at the Infirmary for Limp Bizkit on Saturday, November 20th.  If you’re in the area, get there and check them out!

I think that’s about it for now kiddies.  :)  Sorry for the website neglect.  Hopefully I’ll have things in gear real soon!!  *P*E*A*C*E*

I just happened to be up very late tonight and got an email from Nikki who informs me that he is still in Japan and has not had time to get much work done.  He still hasn't chosen the first single for the upcoming 1958 release, so the poll to vote on it is still active.  VOTE NOW

There's not much NEW news to post about on Motley Crue.  The tour in Japan went over extremely well with every show being completely sold out.  Aside from the incident with Donna D'Errico (which can be read about in Nikki's diary at motley.com) I would venture to say that Japan was a success for the Crue.  I'm still working on getting more information for you guys regarding the New Years gigs, but no luck yet.

Hair of the Dog is finally getting their record deal!  And it's about time.  They will be re-releasing their first album with major distribution and also look to release their new album "Rise" early next year in January or February.  They are hoping to do a short tour of about 20 or 30 shows before the year ends, most likely in November and December.

L.A. Guns is heading out on the road for a quick national tour that will carry them through the end of November.  This is the original lineup guys.  So if you've never seen them, get out there and buy some tickets!  I've got 4 shows lined up myself. :)

Steve Vai is also out on the road.  His new album, The Ultra Zone, is totally kickin'!!  I can't get it out of my CD player.  I highly recommend that if you are any bit of a Vai fan, to go buy this CD now!

That's it for now kiddies.  I'll be back when I've got some more information for ya.  Ciao.

HOLD THE PRESSES!!!!!!  I have one last update for you this fine evening... Motley Crue will co-headline with Def Leppard in Milwaukee on 12/31/99 and in Chicago, IL on 1/1/00.  This is the best news I have heard all summer.  Now I don't have to travel to see Crue for New Years!!!!!  :)  Back to your regularly scheduled programming... I'll let you know when I get exact venue locations.

Another quickie update for all of ya.  Jizzy Pearl (formerly of L.A. Guns, formerly of Love/Hate) has written a book.  Now we all know how much of an incredible writer he is from reading the "rants" on www.kingjizzo.com, now you can purchase his book, "I GOT MORE CRICKETS THAN FRIENDS."  Click here for details.  I've also got an interview with Jizzy talking about the writing and release of his new book.  Click here to check it out.

WOW... where to begin.  Motley Crue is heading off to Japan on Wednesday for the rest of this tour.  The shows have completely sold out.  WOOHOO!!!!  That kills.  :)  How about a little info on the live album?  Well it has 21 tracks on it, a majority of them being the "old stuff" which I think everyone digs anyway.  Sixx says they didn't polish it up like alot of bands do with their live albums.  I think he's trying to go for a really "live" feel.  Sounds like it spans over their entire career and includes many different shows.  If you dig live albums, this one may be for you.

The publicity shot for 1958 will be taken tomorrow (Monday) to forward on to radio/press when the CD is finally released.  They (1958 project) plan on shooting the album cover when Sixx returns from Japan and then a video shortly thereafter.  The band consists of David Darling (guitar/vox), Bucket (drums), Nikki Sixx (bass/vox) and Steven Gibb (guitar).  The title will be "Diet for a New America" and the track listing is as follows:  Don't Laugh (You Might be Next), El Paso, Piece of Candy, Shopping Cart Jesus, Queer, This Songs to Slit Your Wrist By, Stormy Brown Eyes, Killing Joke, All My Heros Are Dead.  Nikki wants your input as to what song should be their first single.  VOTE HERE

Motley's book, The Dirt, won't be out by the end of the year.  They are waiting on Tommy's story before it is finished.  But since T is obviously busy with his Methods stuff, I'm sure that got put on the back burner.

Crue will be playing Hard Rock Live to promote the live album on November 24th.  They are also playing VH-1 Rock, and possibly Conan O'Brien both in November.  And look for them on Jay Leno on Turkey Day.  Motley will record their next studio album on Americoma Records come January/February of 2000.  Sixx describes the new music as Shout meets Primal Scream with a lil Corabi era.

Lastly, Motley Crue's DVD & VHS, This Shit Ain't Brain Surgery, is going to be held off until after the new year.  There is much video footage to go through and they want to do it right, without being rushed.

In other ROCK news... the Diner Junkies have released their second CD and it can be purchased directly off their website.  However, if you'd like to listen to a few songs before making a decision to purchase, you can visit MP3.COM and listen to them via Real Player.

Cruemunity Updates... I added the Japan tour dates and also some new pictures from the last two Maximum Rock tour dates in Tampa and West Palm Beach, Florida.  There hasn't been any other new news on the Crue front.  Their bassist pretty much fell off the face of the earth, so until he's found...  :)

Tommy was on the MTV Video Music Awards over the weekend.  In case any of you were able to catch that, YES he was completely naked underneath that overcoat.  Though, currently being on probation, the thought of spending 3 years in prison kept him from flashing everybody.  The first video off Tommy's upcoming Methods of Mayhem project (due for release November 9th) is called "Get Naked" and will be aired on MTV.  At least, the censored version will be.  Tommy promises that the "uncensored" version of that video will be available on his website in the near future.

L.A. Guns has since reformed with its original lineup of Phil Lewis, Tracii Guns, Kelly Nickels, Mick Cripps and Steve Riley.  This lineup is currently doing some California area dates over the next month and hopefully I'll have some news soon as to a US tour in the near future.

That's all for now kids.  :)

Here's the latest on Nikki's last arrest:

Motley Crue Bassist Sixx Arrested

.c The Associated Press

GREENSBORO, N.C. (AP) - North Carolina lawmen waited nearly two years for Motley Crue bassist Nikki Sixx to return to the state. When he did, they arrested him.

Sixx was nabbed Friday night at a show in Raleigh on charges of inciting a riot at a Greensboro concert in October 1997. Warrants were never served because of the cost of extradition, Guilford County Sheriff BJ Barnes said.

During the 1997 concert, Sixx allegedly directed racial slurs at a guard and encouraged the crowd of 2,500 to attack the guard.

The guards also said Sixx and drummer Tommy Lee poured a drink onto the guard's head.

Sixx was charged with felony rioting and misdemeanors of inciting a riot, simple assault and disorderly conduct. He posted $7,500 bond early Saturday.

Lee, who is wanted on the same misdemeanor charges as Sixx, was not arrested because he didn't perform at the show in Raleigh. Barnes said he hopes to arrest Lee the next time he comes to North Carolina.

The guard and his employer filed a lawsuit against Sixx and Lee last year.

Nikki Sixx was arrested again yesterday for outstanding warrants filed in Greensboro from the 1997 incident.  He's looking for eyewitnesses to the incident because he plans to fight the charges.  I'm checking on the exact date of that show.  If you were there and saw what happened, email your story and information to Lisa (Crueton@aol.com) and she will forward the messages on to the appropriate persons.  Please only email her if you were definitely in attendance that night and can be of assistance.  Thank you!!!

CRUE NEWS... well I'm a little late in getting all this news out, but I figure better late than never right?   Motley Crue plans to release a live album on November 23, 1999.  It will be made up of shows from 1982 through 1999 and they're calling it 'Entertainment or Death'.   The plan is to make it a double live album for the price of a single album.   22 songs are slotted for the double-live release including Bastard, Merry-go-round, Starry Eyes, Piece of Your Action, Without You, and Public Enemy #1.  I guess this gives us something to look forward to and tide us over until the Crue's next studio album is released.  When I met Randy in Chicago, he said they were working on new material and did plan to release a studio album.  I can't wait!

I also posted the article of Nikki's recent arrest in Las Vegas, complete with that god awful mugshot. LOL  That poor guy just can't win!  He also ended up paying out 5 grand to some punk security guard in Atlanta on Friday night.  This is pathetic.  People need to just leave this man alone already.

Other music news... the Diner Junkies new album, Stone's Place, is getting ready for shipment over the next few weeks.   It's been way too long and I can't wait to get my hands on it.  If you haven't pre-ordered your copy already, you can do so at their website.  Hair of the Dog completed RISE but still has it on the backburner waiting for major label interest.   I say get out there and tour already!!!  L.A. Guns is currently doing a couple dates in the California area over the next 2 months, then they plan to do a short US tour come October/November.  Also, they will not be signing with Portrait Records as was once thought.  Cinderella is still in the studio working on their next release.   I think they might be planning a quick tour toward the end of this year, but I'll have to follow up on that.

Let me know what you all think of the website's new look and if you find any problems with it.  I changed things around and added some sections.  I'm thinking of adding a site index for anyone who just gets lost.  LOL  :)  ROCK~N~ROLL FREAKS  *smooch*

August 21, 1999

Aaaahhh... there's nothing quite like a brand spanking new look for your website.  Hope you all enjoy it.   I'll be back with an update as soon as I scrounge up some news for ya.  In the mean time, drop me a line and let me know what you think of the current Cruemunity layout.   :)
