I just wanted to wish Nikki and Donna a very happy annivesary! I
don't really have anything new to post yet. I've been bugging Nikki
for the past week with the same question... IS THE BABY HERE YET??? and
the response has always been nope or not yet. LOL So we wait.
I can only imagine what a hectic Christmas it is going to be at the Sixx
house if that baby shows up on Christmas day! :)
Everyone,
please, have a very Motley Christmas and a Happy Crue Year... of course.

Happy
birthday to one of the most multi-talented individuals on this earth...
Nikki I hope you had a good one. :) I took a little time to
add some things to the site... mainly in the form of long overdue updates.
FINALLY, New Tattoo has been added to the discography. Tweaked some
things here and there. I'll see if I can't get some more changes
made before the year is out. In Crue news... Nikki and Donna ought
to be having their little one within the next week or so. The only
rumor I've heard is that the baby's name will start with an F and they
are indeed having a little girl. *so cute* In other Crue news...
if you have not already checked out Randy's 20 questions with Metal Sludge,
get over there and do that. Also take time to read their segment
on what rockstars were thankful for this thanksgiving because that seriously
cracked me up. :)
Other
than that, there really isn't a whole lot going on. Most of the
bands take time off over the holidaze which leaves us to twiddle our thumbs.
RATT just finished up some dates and has 2 more next weekend before taking
off for the holidays. Their website is now fully functional and
up to date. Check it out at www.therattpack.com when
you get a chance. I guess there was a rumor started that Skid Row
was going to tour with RATT in 2001, but RATT had heard nothing of the
sort and Scotti Hill confirmed that it was just a rumor as they have a
record to get recorded first! *sigh* wishful thinking... Samantha
7 is slowly adding tour dates to their list. You can check those
out at www.manicmusicinternational.com
until I get a section for them built into this website. I do believe
that Cinderella is actually in the studio now recording their upcoming
new album. I had heard that it was supposed to be released in January
2001, but I don't know how true that is. I'll double check with
their management.
Don't
have plans for New Year's Eve yet? L.A. Guns will be playing a show
at the Troubadour. Samantha 7 will be found in Fort Lauderdale,
FL at The Culture Room. Cheap Trick is playing the Star Plaza Theatre
in Merriville, IN. And believe it or not, Guns N Roses is
playing the House of Blues in Las Vegas, NV... but not until January 1,
2001. I'll see what else I can come up with and make a list.
I haven't even finalized my own plans yet...

| On
November 16th we went to see Skid Row in Valparaiso, IN. They REALLY
rocked to a packed house, especially for a Thursday night. WOW...
I hadn't seen them in eons... since they toured with Bon Jovi back in the
day. I was totally blown away. They played 3 new tunes and all
three were hard rock and expected to be on their upcoming release next year.
So keep an eye out for that. :) I had planned to see them again
that weekend in Richmond, IN, but those plans changed on our way home that
evening... about 2 months ago I bought myself a 4x4 truck for the winter.
On our way home that night, a semi-truck got rid of it for me. Since
I loved my perfect little truck so much, I decided to make a webpage for
it with the before and after photos... My

Hell-O
everybody. :) I went to see Samantha 7 last Friday and for
those of you not familiar with that band, it consists of C.C. Deville,
Francis Ruiz and Krys Baratto (and while on tour currently, Michael Lardie
of Great White is with them). You can find out more info about S7
at www.thestepmothers.com
which is the official band website that they support. I've had their
CD for a while and though it took some time to grow on me because it's
different than anything I would normally listen to, I love the songs.
The music and lyrics are great! You've got to check it out.
Samantha 7 puts on a great performance too. I think CC missed his
calling when he decided to play guitar because his personality definitely
screams I'M A FRONTMAN DAMNIT! hehe... At the end of the set, everyone
was invited up on stage to sing Talk Dirty To Me, as long as they knew
the words. LOL I stuck around afterwards and met the band
and had my CD signed and got some pictures taken which I haven't had developed
yet, but will add to the site once I do. I picked up a killer black
longsleeved Samantha 7 shirt for only 20 bucks too. I love it.
:) And on a closing note, I have to add that their bass player,
Krys, is an absolute doll. Of course, he does sort of look like
another bassist we all know and love (ahem... Nikki Sixx) but that couldn't
have anything to do with it. ;) They are all great guys really.
If they're touring near you, GO SEE THEM!!! And go buy the CD!!!
It rocks.
Secondly,
Hair of the Dog will be touring with Skid Row in November. I will
find the dates tomorrow and get them posted to the site. I already
have November 15th slotted for the Attic Ballroom in Waunakee, WI (it's
at 107 Baker St. for anyone who can't find it). Don't miss this
show!
That's
about all I've got for now kids. So check out Samantha 7 already.

So
much going on, so little time to post. First off, I want to let
everyone know about a VH1 special I've been told about. Here's that
info:
VH1
is completing production of a special right now. It is a countdown of
the 100 greatest artists of hard rock and it will air November 13 thru
November 17. It is a series consisting of 5 one-hour long shows dedicated
to all the hard rock artists you can handle!
The artists range from alternative, heavy metal, punk and classic rock
music so it is sure to hit on everyone's favorites. The bands, singers
and musicians in this group have all made valuable contributions to
hard rock music throughout the years and this is our way of acknowledging
them. Each artist/band is given a kind of "mini-tribute" to their music
throughout the years and now on the show.
Any fans of hard rock music will surely find this show interesting and
won't want to miss this chance to see where there favorites ranked.
Times may vary so check your local listings closer to the air date for
the time it will be on in your area. But whatever you do don't miss
it!!
In
other news, L.A. Guns has signed with Spitfire Records and they are currently
in the studio working on their next release tentatively titled "Rockin'
The Dog" due out in April 2001.
Hair
of the Dog (also on Spitfire Records) is due to head out on tour with
Michael Monroe and Enuff Z'Nuff late October/early November. I hope
to have dates on that in the very near future. If you haven't
picked up HOTD's new release (well 6 months ago new!) entitled RISE, what
the hell are you waiting for??? If you're a fan of rock-n-roll,
you will undoubtedly absolutely LOVE this CD. Check em out at www.hotd.com
and/or www.sepetys.com.
Motley
Crue is touring Japan and Australia this coming November. I've posted
the dates in the TOUR DATES section. There's a live chat with Nikki
and Vince this coming Friday, October 6th at 5pm pst. Check
here
for more information.
RATT
will be hitting the road again starting November 2nd and running through
December. The tour probably will not make it out to the East Coast,
but may include some Midwest dates, as well as Hawaiian dates.
Their new website (www.therattpack.com) will hopefully be launched before
the start of that tour.
That's
about all I've got off the top of my head. Other than concerts and
road trips and websites, things have been rather plain. LOL
Here's to hoping that I can update this website more often!

Little
bit o' news... L.A. Guns has left the RATT tour to return to the studio
in California and get started on their new album. It didn't make
sense financially for them to remain on the tour when they could be securing
a record deal and getting a new album out. So that's that.
Bar 7 (Jeff Keith and Tommy Skeoch of Tesla) will be taking LAG's place
on the tour start 8/10 in Chicago, IL.
For
any Crue fans who planned to attend the Somerset, WI show on August 19th...
It has been moved to the Roy Wilkins Auditorium in St. Paul, MN.
And now on to a cool Crue story sent in to me by a very cool Cruehead
in Mexico....
hi
!!!!!! Im DAVE,, I wrote u last week, but got no reply,,, Ive
allways loved your site (best Crue site ever!),, I live in Guadalajara,Mexico,
and I have been a Crue head since I was 10 years old! ( Im 22 now)
The CRUE finally came back to Mexico after a long 6 year wait!!!! The
show started awesome and all was incredible until some stupid Megadeth
fan was offended by NIKKI´s usual water spitting. So the asshole started
throwing bottles at him. Nikki got pissed off and on the Home Sweet
Home solo he threw his bass at him and jumped to the crowd kicking his
ass and breaking his teeth.
( U already know all of this...)
Vince Neil joined the riot after a while jumping also into the crowd
like if he was a wrestler or something...... and the concert was suspended
for about
15 minutes.
I really thought it was the end and I was so pissed!!!!!!
After
a while the band came out again and the show turned out perfect!!!!!
it was an incredible show! The backup singers the CRUE has,, are
soo HOT!!!! By the way, I love Samantha!!!!! I really hope she stays
in the CRUE!! Shes soo HOT!!!!!
Later that day I met the Crue in the Hotel they were in,,,,,,, first
of all before the show we got to see VINCE in the Hotel´s lobby, but
we couldnt do anything because of his bodyguard who kept us apart from
him. That same day after the show,, we waited for the Crue to
arrive back at the hotel (till 3:00am! cause they were in a bar called
"THE BULL") and as soon as their van arrived we got to say HI to Nikki
who spent a couple of minutes with us, Mick was not in the van, I guess
he was already at the hotel, Vince was sooooo drunk that he went straight
to the lobby and didnt talk to nobody, Sam was drunk also, but she was
awesome, and also talked with us and stuff!!!!!!
As
I thought that it was the best day of my life, Next morning I met all
of them again at the airport!! It was all luck because we managed to
arrive at the same time as they were about to get into registration!
There
we had no problems with security or bodyguards, NIKKI is the kindest
and coolest person in the planet!!!! He spent a lot of time with us,
we had a conversation, he autographed me my Tour Book, gave me some
guitar picks, and even posed for pictures with us! As well as Mick and
Sam. Thay all autoghraphed our stuff and they were very nice! I think
Im in love with Sam! :o)
Now
Vinnie, I dont know if Vince is like this all the time, or only because
he had a hangover or because he doesnt like Mexican fans or I dont know
what his problem was, but first he didnt autographed my book, and as
I was trying to get a picture of me and him, he pushed me saying "Get
out of my fuckin way!",,,,, I was shocked, that was the last thing I
expected from a Crue member! (One friend did got to get that picture
anyway!):o) But the other members are the coolest beings on earth!
I mean, I still respect Vince, he is the greatest frontman of all time,
but I might just stick to thinking he was angry or had a bad morning.
Well, that was the best day of my life!! as well as the night before
with the concert and stuff!
I
also met the Crue in person in 1994 here in Mexico with Crab and Tommy,
I didnt get to talk to them much that time, but they were very nice
also!
Now
before anyone thinks I'm a nasty person who doesn't reply to emails (LOL)
I never got the first email from Dave, not that I could find anyway.
Secondly, the thing about Vince... I have met him on a few occasions before
and he's been very kind in the past. I am going to assume he was
just having a crap ass day or something. Other than that, here's
the pic of Dave and Nikki! He didn't tell me which one was him though.

I
went to see RATT last night in Waunakee, WI. They did a one-off
from the RATT/Warrant/LAGuns tour. I took over jizzypearl.com for
Jizzy Pearl (who is now fronting RATT) and was really looking forward
to seeing him do the RATT gig. For a Thursday night in a club in
the middle-of-nowhere Wisconsin, they drew a decent crowd and put on a
great show. I never had any doubt in Jizz's performance because
I loved it when he was in L.A. Guns last year. He isn't just a replacement
for Pearcy. He is the frontman for RATT. Corabi
is an excellent match for RATT as well. His backup vox are strong...
but when Robbie was shareing the mic with John last night and practically
spittin' all over him, John stepped back a little and started cupping
his mouth towards the mic to sing 'BACK FOR MORE'... LOL It was
comical. He's really fun to watch on stage. Blotzer is one
helluva drummer... very in your face. Nice guy too. :)
I really enjoyed the show. They played the following songs in no
particular order: Shame Shame Shame, Wanted Man, Lack of Communication,
Back for More, The Morning After, I'm Insane, Round and Round, Way Cool,
Jr., Lovin' You's a Dirty Job, Luv Sick, Lay It Down and Over the
Edge. I've never really been much of a RATT fan honestly, and even
thought I saw 7 shows last summer with Pearcy in the band, I was not all
that impressed with his performance. The show was lacking.
Jizzy has brought to the band an awesome presence. Guess I'm gonna
have to run out and pick up their CDs so I can brush up on RATT eh?
:) With any luck and another meeting with the guys, in the near
future... look for an all new www.therattpack.com...
in the mean time, for current RATT updates... look to www.jizzypearl.com.
Taking over the world one website at a time... LOL
While
I'm at it, let me plug Cocked & Re-Loaded. LAG's latest release.
In stores as of August 1st, Cocked & Re-Loaded is the entire C&L
album re-recorded by the original lineup earlier this year. I have
yet to hear it because Tower Records just shipped out my copy today (I
didn't want to have to wait until I saw LAG next week!) but knowing the
guys and seeing so many shows this year, I have faith that it rocks.
I've read some great reviews of it. I'll post a review when I have
a copy here.
Other
than that, I found out that Motley Crue moved their Somerset show to somewhere
in St. Paul, MN and I have to figure out where that is and the logistics
of the gig because I'm driving up from Chicago that Saturday. *sigh*
Go figure, the only Crue show I have tickets for and they gotta fuck with
it. Oh well. :) CRUE CRUE CRUE... only a few more weeks!
Send in your reviews.

Geez
the flack I get for not keeping this site updated. It's really hard
to stay current and manage other sites and even develop and get other
sites started... I need more people! LOL Okay since I haven't
even reviewed New Tattoo yet, here's the review I sent Nikki a few weeks
ago and hopefully this will tide people over until I can add the entire
disc to the discography section.
My
first impression of the cover art... very cool. I really like the layout.
I love that the lyrics are included. And I think the individual pics
of you guys inside are very cool also. Made note of the '58 insert,
but I had already picked that up at Best Buy.
Hell on High Heels makes a killer first single. I love it. It's catchy.
I sing along with it already. In fact, I've been singing it all night
and the CD isn't even on!
The first time I listened to Treat Me Like the Dog I Am, I didn't care
for it much. I didn't like the way the chorus was sung. But now that
I've listened more, it's growing on me and I like it well enough.
New Tattoo is a great song. It's nice to hear Vince singing. It's got
a great story line to the lyrics. I'm willing to bet it was written
with Donna in mind... ??
Oh I absolutely dig Dragstrip Superstar. I already have all the lyrics
memorized. I love to blast it in the car. I've also found that it makes
me drive faster LOL... but not over 75mph cuz my car won't go faster
than that unless it's going downhill. One of my fav songs on this CD!
1st Band on the Moon was my favorite of the original 3 demos released.
I still love it. It absolutely has a Dr. Feelgood beginning as far as
the drums go. The lyrics are so memorable. Another one of my favs on
this CD. I thought about why the word "cock" is faded off in this song
and my conclusion is that it was to make it more "radio-friendly" because
this tune would make an awesome follow-up single to HOHH! Ya think??
She Needs Rock N Roll... hmmm... I guess I like it. The beginning guitar
part sounds just like Back Here On Earth by the Diner Junkies. It's
not
a grab me and shake me song, but it's okay.
Just by reading the title of Punched in the Teeth by Love before even
listening to the tune, I thought, what the hell kind of song is this
going to be? But I have to say, it's another favorite... I love it.
I love the chorus. I like to sing along with it.
It's a toss up between Hollywood Ending and New Tattoo... I can't pick
which I like better. I thought I liked Hollywood Ending better, but
I've listened to both quite a few times and can't choose anymore. It's
a really great song.
Fake is very cool. Very catchy. Memorable. Great song. It's another
one of those sing along with me songs. LOL But that one part where Vince
is talking the "hey you fat cats" part, he sounds JUST like David Lee
Roth!
Porno Star was my 2nd favorite demo. It doesn't grab me in any special
way, but I like the song.
I didn't know White Punks on Dope was a cover tune until my friend pointed
that out. It's a cool song! Leave it to you guys to turn us on to cool
music. The beginning guitar part in this sounds like it could have been
something Racer from Hair of the Dog played. haha.
Over all, I feel this CD is a great success! I don't care whether people
bag on Crue for going back to what sells or not. THIS is an awesome
CD! It's been in my CD player at work, in the car and at home since
I bought it.
Oh yeah, American Zero... what a beautiful song. I wish I could burn
it onto this CD so I can listen to it all the time too!
I
haven't been to many other concerts since my last update. But I
did attend two of the Poison/Cinderella/Dokken/Slaughter shows last weekend.
They were fantastic. I guess I could go grab my reviews of those
shows and post them here too... one sec... :::shuffles through web pages::::
;)
It
never fails. I ALWAYS miss Slaughter's set when we go to the New World
Music Theatre in Tinley Park. We left home at 4pm and didn't get there
until 7pm. There is sooooooo much construction work on the way down
there, it's not even funny. Needless to say, I am considering never
going to another show at the World again. It shouldn't have taken us
much over an hour to get there.
So we get there and go to the will call window to pick up our passes
left by the various bands. No problems with the lists. AMAZING! LOL
Walk over to the ticket gate where they pat ya down and look in what
little purse you might be carrying. Of course, I have my camera with
me because I have passes for every band on the bill but Dokken... but
oh no, no I can't go in there with that camera.
You've got to be kidding me, they want us to walk it back to the car
and leave it there? She checks with someone else. Nope, I can't bring
it in. So I try to call one of Slaughter's road crew, but get the wrong
number... later found out I was off by one digit. hehe... So I try to
call Blas' cell phone number, and get voice mail. DAMNIT. Okay we walk
around to the backstage gate by the buses, because I don't give up that
damn easily. The guy checks out our passes and says no problem with
the Cinderella pass he can let us right in. WOOHOO!!!! That was simple
enough. We walked into the place right through the backstage door and
walked up behind Blas who actually looked like he was gonna go wander
in the crowd for a while.
Stopped to say hello to him while he tried his bestest to remember Flynn's
name. Blas is a cool guy, but I guess he doesn't have a good memory
for names. ;) Then we walked around for a bit while Dokken was on stage.
I'm not a Dokken fan and it didn't sound like I was missing anything.
We did grab our seats for Cinderella's set though. It's nice to see
them back on a big stage because they went all out. I wish it could
have been a little darker outside for their set. They had candles lit
all over the stage. They used pyro... FIRE FIRE FIRE. Their backdrop
is to die for. The paint that is used on it changes reflections with
the lighting. The lighting was amazing. Found out from Jeff LaBar that
both Poison and Cinderella use the same lighting guy. The set was just
like last year's except Fred gets out the violin on Heartbreak Station.
I have to agree with some other complaints I've read in the past that
there just are too many slow songs in the set. And no matter how hard
I try (and this isn't really a knock on Fred because he and I are cool
with each other) but I just cannot get into his backup singing to Keifer's.
OMG... it makes me cringe every time he steps up to the mic. He's just
a bit off key and it really makes Tom sound terrible. But hey, who am
I to judge?! LOL They brought out a lil grand piano for Don't Know What
Ya Got. They must have had like a million roadies and techs up there
on stage switching out instruments and stuff. It was crazy. hehe. They
all looked and sounded really good. Eric dyed his hair brown again and
he looks great. I read on some message board somebody asked what happened
to their blonde bassist. Obviously this person has never seen Cinderella
before because you absolutely cannot mistake Eric's style on stage.
They encored with Shake Me. There was a really good crowd there for
their show too.
After the show we waited forever and a freaking day (it felt like) for
Cinderella to come out for their little meet n greet thing. Tom and
Jeff walked out first. I've met them a couple times in the past, but
not enough that they'd probably actually remember me. Took some pictures.
Actually got pictures of Flynn with all the guys!!! Aren't you proud
of me!? LOL Teresa had this cool Cinderella picture disc with her and
was having the guys sign it. While talking to Jeff, he insists that
he remembers her (hehe), we're like "yea right." He insists. So I'm
like, do you remember me? I've been to quite a few shows. Oh yeah, he
says that he remembers me too. RIGHT. So she hands him the disc, do
you remember this? LOL He says, yea he was 7 when they took that picture.
::::snickers:::: You had to be there, it was alot funnier than it sounds
in type. :) Fred finally wandered out from backstage and we talked to
him and got pictures, etc. Waited another freaking day and Eric was
no where to be found. I was gonna kill him since he's the whole reason
I was there and missing Poison's show!!! FINALLY he came out through
a different door to see everyone. Lucky him. ;) It was nice to see Eric
again. I haven't had a chance to hang out with him in close to 2 years.
ACK! We chatted for a bit and then I went out to catch Poison's last
song. I saw their show 7 times last year, so I figured it wouldn't hurt
to miss it last night because I'm going to see them again tonight (7/22).
Out of 7 shows last summer, I never once met Bret Michaels. Met all
the other guys in Poison except him. Back when I was 16 (ya know, back
in the day when MTV ruled the world) Bret was THE man... ::::drools::::
and I've always wanted to meet him. So this time I waited in a line
of freaking 150 people after the show to meet him. This took forever
and another freaking day. I swear we were probably all well into our
50s by the time we left last night. ;) Said hellos and got pictures
and apologized for missing the show but said we'd be at the Milwaukee
show. His security guy is Big John from the RATT camp last year. He
remembered us and asked us to look for him in Milwaukee tonight so we
can hang and talk. Very cool. We're gonna head up there early anyway
to see Slaughter. Anyway, Bret is a doll and a really nice guy. I even
got Flynn to take a pic with him! :)
Hopefully after tonight I will have a review of Slaughter's show and
Poison's show. I'm not sitting backstage waiting for Eric again all
night. LOL He's a lil brat sometimes, but I still love him. A good time
was had by all even though we spent half our lives getting to the show
and waiting around. ;)
And
here's Part One and Two of the next night's review... bare with me, they're
lengthy ones!!!!!:
Well
we got to the show really early yesterday. Soaked up some rays while
waiting for Will Call to open. I kept checking and they kept telling
me a later and later time. LOL Finally around 5pm we went and picked
up our passes and headed on into the Marcus Amphitheatre. Right at the
entrance, Blas and Dana were in this little radio station trailer doing
an interview. We stopped so I could wave to Blas. hehe... he finally
saw us and waved, then it looked like he was trying to pay attention
to what Dana was saying, but he kept peeking back over and smiling.
LOL I love him, he cracks me up sometimes. We waited until they were
through so I could snag hugs & hellos, and Dana gave me a kiss on
the cheek... he's a sweetie. :) Haven't seen them since Terre Haute,
IN a couple months ago.
It was about an hour before their show time. We had really good seats.
Slaughter went on at 6pm and only had a 20 minute set, but they jammed
it out. Mark went running off into the crowd during Mad About You and
security chased him around. hehehe... Dana is just a wild man on stage
with that bass. They played a good set. At the end of their last song,
my friend Mike on their road crew motioned for us to come to the backstage
area and we hung out with the guys for a little while. Dana and Blas
kept commenting on how much they liked my new hair color (so I think
I'll keep it dark brown for awhile! hehehe) and also EVERYBODY there
freaking loved the shirt I was wearing and kept telling me so all night
long... well, it's MY shirt now (lots of thank yous to a certain very
adorable sweet person who gave me his gorgeous blue crushed velvet shirt
that I love very, very much and will be forever grateful... he knows
who he is).
We went back to our seats for Cinderella's set and watched the first
couple songs. There were a couple incredibly drunk individuals standing
next to us and Blas had told me that he would come out to sit with us
for a while, so I figured these seats were no good for that. LOL We
left and moved over to a bunch of empty seats on the side of the stage
near the backstage entrance. Mike and Blando were sitting over there,
so we sat there for a while. Blas came out to watch a couple Cinderella
songs with us. I didn't pay real close attention to their set last night
because I had seen it the night before and they don't change it any.
They played well though and had a really great crowd there. Actually
Slaughter had a pretty good sized crowd there for their set too.
We didn't go back for Cinderella's meet n greet even though Eric left
me passes. I didn't want to miss Poison's set again! We stood to the
very side of the stage and watched the whole Poison show. Those guys
have SO MUCH freaking energy on stage. WOW!! CC just starts going wild
right off the bat. He's insane. There was alot of pyro, confetti and
fog. CC sang I Hate Every Bone In Your Body But Mine. The crowd really
got into it. Before he sang though, he plugged his Samantha 7 project
of course. :) Now they tell me that on Friday night during Every Rose...
the mirror ball came crashing down within feet of Bret and that anyone
who would have gotten hit by it probably would have been killed. I can't
believe that happened! Needless to say, since the ball was destroyed
they didn't use it last night. But during Poison's set there had been
fireworks outside the venue at the festival that was going on and as
soon as Bret commented on the fireworks and went into Every Rose, the
grand finale hit and it was just so damn cool. :) They put on an awesome
show! At the end of the set, they played Rock N Roll All Night and had
like the first few rows of fans up on the stage. LOL Pure insanity.
Cool though.
So after their show, they had the little fan club meet n greets for
Bret and Rikki on opposite ends of the venue again. The night before
we met this guy who worked for RATT last summer and he now is security
for Poison. They call him Big John (for reasons obvious! LOL) and he
is such a really nice guy. Anyway he does Bret's security during his
fan club thing. So we hung out to the side and waited to go backstage
with him after this was over. It took forever. Bret has a lot of fans!
:) Meanwhile, we're waiting there watching everyone get their pictures
taken. There's this guy there who keeps talking to Bret once in a while
and he had been there all throughout Poison's set too. I remember seeing
him and didn't think much of it. But these two little girls (I say little
cuz they couldn't have been over 15) saw this guy and went totally googly
over him. I'm at this point thinking, okay this guy has to be somebody.
LOL So I sent Flynn over to ask them what band he was in. They told
him he was in Nine Inch Nails. I later found out that the entire band
was there. I have no idea if it was Trent Reznor or not. I looked for
pictures of him on the web and I don't know if they're old pictures
or what, but none of them looked like this guy did. He had short black
hair, a goatee and sideburns and was wearing these really tall black
KISS looking boots. Oh and he had a black eye too. :) So if that description
sounds familiar to anyone, let me know cuz I'm damn curious now! Obviously
I'm not a NIN fan at all.
Part
Two
So
Bret was finishing up with the last few people and Big John motioned
for us to head backstage. We hung out in back by the buses while the
rest of the equipment was being loaded up (3 FREAKING SEMI TRAILERS
FULL !!!!!) Talked to a couple girls who had driven in from Detroit
and Chicago. Got a chance to say hello to Bobby (Dall) who looks great
with blonde hair... it's actually just blonde on top. Fred and Jeff
were hanging out back there also. Luckily Eric stepped off the
bus or I wouldn't have gotten to see him that night. He stopped to talk
for a bit. I asked him if he knew that NIN was there and he said yea
that they were sitting on his bus having a beer and he didn't even know
who they were. LOL!! He said "I thought they used a drum machine??"
hehehe... so now I don't feel so bad about not knowing them because
even Eric didn't know them. Besides that guy (I think Trent, not sure)
was walking around all day/night acting like everyone should know who
he is or something. Well it didn't seem like anyone did unless they
were under the age of 16. ;)
So anyway, we hung out for a while longer cuz I had yet to say HI to
Rikki and besides John had disappeared and I didn't want to split without
saying bye. :) I think it was probably after 2am when Rikki finally
came out to get on the bus. They finally rounded everyone up, we said
bye and walked back to the car as the last bus was pulling out of the
parking lot.
Damn I was tired. Pulling out of the parking lot, the bottom of my car
scraped on the pavement (again) and I didn't think anything of it until
we were on the tollway and the car's exhaust became DEAFENING! OMG...
I freaked out at first of course. I always do. LOL So we pulled over
at the nearest gas station (3am mind you) and Flynn being the little
McGyver that he is picked up a couple hose clamps, a pocket knife and
grabs some Coke cans out of the car and patches where the exhaust pipe
broke (right in front of the converter) That got us maybe 5 more minutes
down the road before the bumps took it out again. GRRRRR... pull over
again and this time bought a can of whole tomatoes... LMFAO... and cut
that open and patched it again. Managed to get home on that one and
then he fixed it yesterday. So my car is all better again. Sheesh...
stupid car anyway.
And so that was my weekend. And now it's Monday again and I don't have
any concerts until LAG at the House of Blues on August 10th. I bumped
into a couple people this weekend who will be at that show. One of them
(Sean) works security for Great White every time they're in town and
he said he'd be there. Really cool guy. :)
I guess I get to have concert withdrawals for a few weeks now. ;)
And
that's my long ass review of my Poison weekend. :) I get to
see the Maximum Rock tour on August 19th in Somerset, WI, so hopefully
I'll have a kick ass review of that show then and will certainly post
it for everyone.
The
reasons I've been too busy to update this site lately are because I've
been running www.lagunsweb.com
and since they just hit the road recently, I had to keep their site current,
Jizzy Pearl has joined RATT and he asked me to take on www.jizzypearl.com
and I spent all last week creating and uploading that site, and now I
have to maintain that also, we just spent alot of time changing over to
our own servers at CF Webdesign and getting everyone's sites transferred
is quite a task and still not complete, and then to end the week, I found
out my grandma passed away and we had the funeral on Friday. So
it's been an eventful week and I'm just emotionally strung out.
I'll get to this site as soon as I can. I really love all you guys
for visiting it regularly and being patient with me. Thank you!
More updates to come...

Yeah
I know we're long overdue for an update here. Since I've been away,
Heidi and Vince have managed to get married. :) Congrats to
them!!! Nikki and Donna have a bun in the oven... LOL :)
I think the baby is due in December. Randy collapsed at the Cat
Club and had to have emergency surgery, I believe on his stomach.
But friends of mine in CA said they saw him at the Cat Club this past
Thursday and he seems to be recovering very quickly. Samantha Maloney
from Hole has been filling in for him on the skins. Fans say she
is doing a fabulous job. Which brings me to a review of the Salt
Lake City, UT show that a fan sent in:
I
tell you what the Maximum Rock Tour kicked some serious ass. They were
filming a pay per view that night so things were a little crazy. Anthrax
opened up and really tore the place down, I had just about lost my voice
and had a stiff neck by the end of their set. I had never seen Anthrax
before and I was very pleasantly surprised with their show. They sound
GREAT live. We stepped outside to smoke after Anthrax was through and
A camera man showed up to get the crowd outside going. He asked if anyone
had some skin to show off on national T.V. Some chick, (who had to be
in her late 30's or Early 40's) stripped off her top and her boyfriend
licked her tits right their on camera. Kinda crazy. Anyway after our
little smoke break we went back in to watch Megadeth. I am happy to
say that they didn't play anything from RISK. (thank god. RISK sucked).
I have seen Megadeth before and I tell you they were better the first
time I saw them. Daves Microphone and guitar drowned out the rest of
the band, so the sound pretty much sucked. They did play a song that
hasn't been released yet and I tell you it sounded alot like the old
Megadeth. They played alot of their old stuff but again the sound wasn't
all that great. After MEGADAVE finished The real show began. The Crue
really ripped it up. The stage set up and the song list really took
me back to the eighties. For those of you who haven't seen the show
yet I don't want to give it away but I'll tell you the stage set up
kinda reminded me of a sleazy back street that any civilized person
wouldn't want to go, but a place that any CRUE HEAD wouldn't hesitate
to go. They played alot of old shit from piece of your action all the
through Dr Feelgood. They played quite a bit from Shout at the Devil
like Knock em dead Kid (one of my personal favorites.) They also played
a few songs from the yet to be released NEW TATTOO. I guarantee that
Punched in the teeth by love is gonna be a favorite off of NEW TATTOO.
They also played one called White Punks on Dope. That song kicked some
serious ass too. And of course they played Hell on High Heels. They
also hired two backup singers/dancers who are totally beautiful. One
other thing that I really dug about the show was Samantha Maloney from
Hole. She did one Hell of a Job filling in for Randy. As a matter of
Fact my wife told me that The CRUE should keep her. (No offense Randy
we like you too) Maybe the CRUE should have two drummers. One thing
is for Certain is that you don't wanna miss this show, If the CRUE isn't
coming to your city, you best find a city that they are going to and
start hitchhiking cuz you definatley don't wanna screw up and
miss this show. Also check out Nikki Sixx CD that they are selling at
the show. It's nothing Like Motley Crue but give it a chance you might
like it. Also check out the Pay per View in August. When you see the
guy lickin his girlfriends tits look for me in the Crowd. I am kinda
near the back flipping the camera off. DON'T MISS IT.
Outside
of Motley Crue, I've been spending alot of time with L.A. Guns
and working on their website. They just finished up their tour with
Bar 7. I saw them in Chicago, IL at the House of Blues, in LaSalle,
IL at Slammers, drove up to Detroit, MI at Harpo's, and drove out to Rome,
GA at the Opera House and in Winston-Salem, NC at Ziggys just last weekend.
The last two were the last two gigs of the tour. 36 shows in 42
days. EEEK! We had alot of fun though and the tour went over
very well. They opened the shows with NO MERCY, also played ELECTRIC
GYPSY, KISS MY LOVE GOODBYE, DIRTY LOVE, NEVER ENOUGH, BALLAD OF JAYNE
(begun with CRYSTAL EYES), RIP N TEAR and Tracii plays a cover of RED
HOUSE and Muddy sings ZIGGY STARDUST. That's just some of the songs
performed... I don't have the set list in front of me right now.
Brent Muscat (ex-Faster Pussycat) and Muddy "Stardust" are now
on guitar and bass respectively. Both are incredible additions to
the band. Kelly Nickels and Mick Cripps couldn't commit to touring,
so they backed out. Phil Lewis has been kicking ass on vocals.
And I thank Tracii and Steve for keeping it going all this time!
They are hitting the road again on July 21st at the House of Blues in
W. Hollywood. Touring with Warrant and RATT. Which brings
me to the next tidbit of news... Jizzy Pearl (ex-L.A. Guns and currently
also of Love/Hate) will be on vox for RATT. And as if that isn't
cool enough news, John Corabi (ex-Union, ex-Motley Crue, ex-Scream) will
be taking the place of Kerri Kelli on guitar! This is going to be
one show you don't wanna miss. Also since KK backed out and joined
Slash's Snakepit, Warrant has also obtained a new guitarist. I can't
recall his name off hand, but at least they found somebody before the
tour starts.
I've
heard alot of excellent reviews of the Poison/Cinderella/Dokken/Slaughter
tour so far. I also hear that Cinderella is blowing everyone off
the stage with their show. I don't doubt that. I love those
guys. Their set always kicks some ass. I will be seeing them
on July 21st and July 22nd. I'll be back with a review. :)
Diner
Junkies are off the road again in the studio. Relocating to Detroit
where management is based. Oh yeah, I did see Hair of the
Dog quite a few times over the past couple months. I believe they
are starting a tour soon with Zakk Wylde. When I get my paws on
tour dates, I'll post them. If I think of anything else, I'll post
another update soon. :) To those of you who continually support
this site, THANK YOU!!!! You all rock!!
