December 27, 2003

I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday! Mine went as well as I could expect it to. I love spending time with family and friends. I don't think anything tops it. :)

I just added some new pix of Brandon and my cats to the About Me section. It was in dire need of an update. Alas, no new pictures of me. Wouldn't want to scare anyone anyways. LOL

Bring on the new year! Everyone please be safe and have a great time!

December 22, 2003

And so I'm 30 now. *sigh* It's all downhill from here isn't it? Goodbye 6th Anniversary of my 24th Birthday... it's been nice knowin' ya.

Friday... I must be getting senile. What the hell did I do on Friday? Mustn't have been anything very important.

Saturday rocked though. I remember that well. And that's surprising too because I was friggin' sloshed by the end of the night. Okay probably by the middle of the night. LOL As you know, or may not know, but you will in a minute... we went to see Enuff Z'Nuff and Adler's Appetite at the House of Blues (in Chicago of course)  We got there early (after a hellride into the city.. people around here CANNOT drive) and hung out with friends. There were alot of people that we knew at that show. Very cool.

We secured a spot right up front, to the right, before the show started. Soon thereafter discovered that drinks were like $7.50 each and beers were $6.50 each. HOB ripoff. Loved EZN's set. I always do though. :)   I realize they have like a million albums out (okay I think it's more like 12 or 13) but I'd really love to hear more off the latest one.  I didn't keep track of time, but I think they played for around 30 minutes. During the show I spotted Jizzy up in the balcony across from me behind the stage. I think he was making faces at me. Kind of hard to tell. *heh* There was a short break and then Adler's Appetite went on.  OMFG they were awesome!!!! Of course it helps that these are all of my favorite musicians on stage. *happy happy joy joy* They opened with Welcome to the Jungle, then played It's So Easy, Night Train, Mr. Brownstone and Paradise City. ONLY 5 SONGS!!!!! Couldn't have been more than 20 - 25 minutes. But that was a really GREAT 25 minutes. *grin* I would love, REALLY LOVE, to see a full set from these guys. Even if I have to make a road trip out to Cali damnit.

By the time George Lynch was on stage, I was toast. We were hanging out with our friends. Made 2 new friends... Brett & Robert. They're in that band, Fifty-Seven Stitch, that I posted about back in October.  Guess I can pimp out their website for them... www.57stitch.com, go check it out. :)  I seriously do not remember any of Lynch's set. Is that bad or what?  Jizzy and Robbie came to hang out with us for a while. I think Robbie might have actually wandered into the crowd to watch. (it's slowly coming back to me now... haha)  Jizzy said "I'll be back in a minute" and disappeared into Never-Jizzy Land.  I think he was under the impression that in rockstar time that meant "I won't be back" but what it really means is "I'll be back in a few hours". Oh well.  He missed out on celebrating my birthday with me. His loss. :)~ I had a very nice bday present (for a while anyway ) and it was all good.

The rest of my night would probably bore you, so I won't get into it. I think we got home just after 4am.  I didn't have to crawl up the stairs like I have in the past, but I really don't remember getting into bed. HAHA

Woke up around 1:30pm, met my friends & family for dinner at Benihana's at 4pm. Got LOTS of cool presents... new digital camera (Thanks Flynn!), Buffy calendar and Sunnydale HS Yearbook (Thanks to my brother and Don!!) and lots of "YOU'RE 30 HAHA" gifts from my bestest friend in the whole wide world (Thank you Teresa!!!), oh and I got Buffy Chaos Bleeds for Xbox! (Thank you Al!!)  Dinner was good, the company was great and we had so much fun.

Then I came home and went shopping with Teresa for Christmas dinner stuff. I'm hosting dinner this year. Should be lots 'o fun.

Oh hey, gotta tell you what Teresa did to me at work on Friday... maybe that's why I blocked Friday out of my mind earlier.  We were having our department holiday treat table... this is where everyone brings in something and we spend literally the entire day eating and goofing off. We had everything set up in our little conference room. I was trying to leave to bring my gifts back to my desk when my co-worker, Terry, walks in and with her is a GRIM REAPER. Then just behind the reaper is my best friend, Teresa. At first I was like "She looks familiar" and then I was like "HEY! What are YOU doing here?!?!?" LMFAO  For 10 minutes this Grim Reaper sang and danced with me in front of all my co-workers (and my boss). Very embarassing. I had to dance too! It was really funny. I could have killed. LOL  I later found out that some of my co-workers had been in on the whole thing since September! :hmph: Oh well, what are best friends for if not for embarassing you to death?

Alright I've taken up enough space. Need to get back to wrapping presents. Hope everyone has a fantastic holiday.

First things first...

HAPPY BIRTHDAY NIKKI!!!!!!!!!

I was going to grab a picture of Nikki to post here, but then I started looking for one. And I really can't choose only one because, well, because he's Nikki and *drools*, and then I lost all concentration and it was all downhill from there... so um, Happy Birthday to Nikki. :heh: Let's see, this would be the 21st Anniversary of his 24th Birthday. Hey that works out. Happy 21st!!!

In news about... ME... I get to see Adler's Appetite the day before MY birthday this month! I'm so excited. I was originally intending to go see Great White and Warrant on 12/20 and Enuff Z'Nuff on 12/19 at the HOB, but now we're just going to the HOB on 12/20 since Adler's is playing and I'll see EZN then. Very nice. Happy Birthday to me. Can't wait to see everyone... everyone being Jizzy, Robbie, Keri and Brent. Are any of YOU going to that show? Email me.

That's really the only show we've got coming up. I'm going out to dinner with friends and family on 12/21... it's the big 6th Anniversary of my 24th Birthday party! I fear not the big 3-0, so my friend can torture me all she wants. At least I have no intentions of hopping out of a perfectly good plane on my 30th bday. *snickers*

I did manage to launch www.kennykweens.com a few weeks ago. It really turned out pretty kick ass. Check it out when you get a chance. Kenny rocks. :) There's alot of great pictures there too.

I have no music news right now simply because it's really early and I'm more in a "should be getting my ass ready for work mode." I'll try to gather up some info and post it later. Though you know, I've been seriously considering lately just re-working this site to make it less music related and more ME related... not that it isn't already fairly ME related, but hey, it's my damn site and I can do what I want with it. HAH People are still checking it out every day, so I must be doing something right. I'd like to take a minute here to thank all of those people (Thank you!!!!) and wish you all a very Happy Holidays and a Happy New Year as well because who knows when I'll get back here with another update...

November 12, 2003
I am loving my new office. It's kind of messy though. That happens when you have to share it with Flynn. *smirk*

I brought my last 3 cats in to be declawed yesterday. I know you wanted to know that. Now we can safely remodel our downstairs. I know you wanted to know that too. Of course, this probably won't happen until AFTER the holidays... who wants to do construction during Christmas?? BLAH.

Concert reviews... I'm sure that's what you're here to read. Maybe. Anywho, here's what I've got for ya...

On October 25th we drove out to the US Beer Company in Chicago. Enuff Z'nuff was playing. Several other bands were playing too. I don't know how this place gets off calling themselves a beer company. Both times that we have been there, THEY FRIGGIN' RAN OUT OF BEER! WTF? It's just a bar. Not a very big one. It wasn't very crowded. I didn't expect it to be though. EZN was playing on borrowed equipment, so of course nothing went well. LOL I still enjoyed the show for what it's worth though. We hung out with them afterwards until 3am. I'm not going to rehash the fiasco that occurred that night. Let me just roll my eyes in the biggest way possible and leave it at that. I left in one piece and that's the important thing. HEH

The following Thursday (Oct. 30th) we left home around 6pm for Peoria. Sharkey's Live is in a college town. WHOOPIE. Parking wasn't difficult and the bar/club actually had potential, perhaps if it wasn't a Thursday night. The crowd gathered a bit for Black N Blue, who were actually very good even though I knew none of their songs. It gathered a bit more for Bullet Boys, who looked like they were fronted by a cheerleader on some serious crack. There was a decent crowd when L.A. Guns hit the stage (I think it was after midnight already), but by the middle of their set, I turn around and the place had pretty much emptied out. :hmph: It's difficult for a band to stay energetic with a scenario like that. I don't blame them for cutting their set short by 3 songs. However, they paid for it. The club blamed them. :double hmph: We didn't really hang out for too long that night since we had to drive 3 ½ hours back home and had a show the next day. Plus I had to get my kid off to school on Friday morning. We did see some freaky she-males before we left. That's always a treat. NOT. I don't think I'll be visiting Peoria again any day soon.

On Halloween we finished up Flynn's stormtrooper costume and headed off to the Penny Road Pub. He couldn't wear the costume to the show, so we used the backstage dressing room so he could change into it. Did I mention how awesome it turned out? Chicks dig stormtroopers.

HEHE Penny Road was pretty crowded. All sorts of cool costumes there. And if you wanted your picture with a bottle of Guinness, that was the place to be! L.A. Guns put on a great show. Johnny Monaco (EZN) even got on stage for Over the Edge. Prior to LAG hitting the stage, Brad Nelson played bass and Adam played drums for John Neilson. That was pretty cool. I honestly had no idea Brad could play bass. :) We stuck around for a while after the show, hung out on the bus and chatted. I don't recall what time we actually left. I do recall as we were driving away, that I noticed my cell phone was missing. U-TURN. I checked the club, I checked the bathroom in the club, I checked the friggin' bus. NO PHONE. :cusses: I can't lose that phone. There are a lot of important numbers in it! I checked everywhere one more time. All the time I was calling it with Flynn's cell phone. No ringing. Turns out John (Neilson) was sitting on it on the bus. HOORAY!!!! I was very happy to have my phone back and then we went home. End of story.

I want to say we got home around 6am Saturday morning after the LAG show. We were up by Noon and on the road before 1pm. It was a long drive up to Maplewood, MN. :ugh: We got to the Rock a little early and hung out on the bus for a while. I had picked up one of those Hollywood Rocks books the night before from LAG. They were selling it with their merch. (I think you can get it on Cleopatra's website) Everybody wanted to leaf through it and check out the old pictures and flyers etc. I had it signed by anyone who appeared in the book at least once. hehe (Note: there is a tiny Angora flyer toward the end of the book, make Corabi sign it!)

Before RATT went on, I weaseled a spot right up front on Corabi's side. I don't have the set list handy, but they played a lot of great songs. Jizzy, of course, had to pick on me during the show. And to prove to you that I was surrounded by freaks, after a song, John had leaned over and asked me to take his necklace off because it was bothering him. Afterwards, this younger girl next to me starts looking around at my purse and asks me "What did he give you?!?!" and this guy behind me, taps me on the shoulder, takes my hand and is all like "OMG, you touched Corabi." Good grief. It was insane. LOL After the show, we hung out in the bar for a bit, then moved our party to the bus, which was overcrowded (I hate when it gets like that), then we moved the bus to the hotel parking lot and hung out until 7am with Robbie, Corabi and Craig. (hey, that almost rhymed) Talk about a long ass day/night. Checkout time at our hotel was 11am. It was also a long ride back home from MN. I think hunting season opened over the weekend, traffic was horrendous and people were toting around dead deer. yum. NOT. Plus it was raining. Can I bitch some more? You bet I can! Some moron semi-truck driver rear-ended a Grand Am and caused the traffic backup from HELL! Friggin' ride home. :hmph:

Okay so this past weekend... we went to see RATT at Sean Kaley's in Lemont, IL. This is the place where the bathrooms always backup. Isn't it great to be known for that? Before the show we chatted with friends. Bobby came in for a bit and we talked to him. Had some drinks. blah blah. The front of the stage filled up fast. :hmph: I managed to get pretty close to the front (Corabi's side, always) and toward the end, for the last two songs, was right up front. :happy day: Jizzy pointed at me during one song (I think Back for More) and said "You have to sing too!" Damnit, I was singing! In fact, I lost my voice that evening. UGH. Completely. I was squeaky. It sucked fiercely. I must have also been pretty intoxicated, because I don't remember too much of the aftershow activities. I don't think we stayed very late. Or maybe we did. LOL I remember Bobby leaving right away because the bus was crowded and that's pretty annoying. I'm pretty sure we didn't stay late because we had to get up by Noon the next day. I did however receive a copy of Jizzy's upcoming solo CD from him. I remember that. Seeing as it is still in my truck's CD player. I am totally digging it. You guys really have to pick up a copy when it's released. :) There's only one song that is border-line annoying, but I still like it. Steve Stevens played on, I think he said, 3 or 4 of the songs. And I dig Steve Stevens, so that's even better.

Saturday morning I woke up (or rather Saturday around Noon) and could hardly speak at all. I had to have Flynn call Bobby about our dinner plans. We picked Bobby up at the hotel around 3:30pm (running late) and made it out to P.F. Changs in 30 minutes (record time!) I've never eaten there before, but I would definitely go again. YUMMMM. We stopped at Sportmart afterwards and then got back to the Brat Stop around 6pm. Sound check was pretty quick. We hung out on the bus before the show while the venue completely filled up. We snuck in there before Firehouse went on and you literally could NOT walk around. I really hate that. I mean, great for the band! Always good to have a packed venue, but damn, trying to get around really sucked. :( So we went back to the bus. LOL Luckily for RATT's show, we were able to secure a nice spot on one of their equipment cases off of Warren's side of the stage. Probably had the best seats in the house. No people crowding us and a clear view of the stage. :) I enjoyed the show even though I couldn't sing along with any of the songs. Hell, I could barely talk at all. That part sucked. After the show I drove with Warren and his wife, Kathy, into Antioch to return their rental car. And then we went to breakfast afterwards at Denny's. :) By the time we got back, I was really tired and just wanted to go home. I think it was probably 4am or later by that time. Jizzy and Craig had already gone to bed. I think Bobby must have took off to the hotel earlier. Warren & Kathy left. Robbie was still on GO. hehe And I still could hardly speak.

I even ended up taking Monday off work since I felt like crap when I woke up. At least I managed to get my voice back though. We've had a couple of awesome weekends this past month, but now I am completely beat and paying for it with a stupid cold. It's nice to know we have no shows coming up! I just want to get my house ready for the holidays and enjoy home & family for a while.

In non-concert news, I just re-vamped the RATT site. It was in dire need. Not really much new content, but at least it looks more organized. We are going to start a Fan of the Month thing over there like we do on the LAG site. That should keep things a little more interesting.

I'm also working on another new site for Kenny Kweens. I hope to have it done soon and then I'll post about it.

I think that about covers everything. There really not much else going on. My poor fingers hurt from typing... Have a happy Turkey Day. Who knows if I'll find time to post again before then.

October 21, 2003

October turned out to be quite an eventful month for me! First off... THE OFFICE IS DONE!!!! If my digital camera was all charged up, I'd take pictures. But it'll have to wait. We have a countertop running across the backwall with 3 PCs on it and an XBOX. Above that is our TV. And behind me are two more glass desks with another PC and 2 printers. I still need to get some more furniture in here and it's lacking a big screen TV *grin* but it's comfy.

Anywho, we went to see Skid Row on Thursday (10/16) at Shark City in Glendale Heights, IL. I'd never been to this venue before. It's a big ass pool hall. Not much of a venue for a band to play. But that's never stopped me from enjoying a show before. I secured my spot right up front (stage left) on Scotti's side and had a great friggin' time. Their set list was:

thick is the skin
piece of me
ghost
18 and life
new generation
remember you 2
monkey business
makin a mess
lamb
get the fuck out
beat yourself blind
psycho therapy
i remember you
slave to the grind
youth gone wild

I absolutely LOVE that they played Ghost. It's my fav song on the new album. New Generation and Thick is the Skin come in as close seconds... they're songs that make you speed when you're driving. ;) Not that I would speed or anything. You haven't gotten Thickskin yet? Well I can't in good faith recommend ordering it off their website because that company took forever to get the CD to me when it was released, but you might try here or it's even cheaper here. And pick up the DVD while you're at it! Okay enough pimping out Skid Row... back to the show. The band kicked ass, as usual, I can't even put it into words. I've never been much for detailed reviews... okay well not detailed about music and such. LOL I'd bore you guys with my details... like when Scotti was thinking about grabbing my purse off the edge of the stage (he's done this before) and I said "don't you dare" and he snatched my friend's purse instead. I did pick up a Skid Row jersey before the show. They had announced that if you spent like 10 bucks at the merch booth, you'd get a wristband to meet the band. I wasn't even thinking about that when I bought the shirt. The merch girl says to me "you want a wristband don't you? you get to go on the bus and meet the band." I paused and said "yeah I guess so." LOL and my friend says "SHE ALREADY KNOWS THEM!!!" HAHA I speak from experience... just because you know a band doesn't always mean they'll have time after a show. Okay well most of the time it does, but not with Skid Row. *smirk*

We saw them again the next night at Sean Kaley's in Lemont, IL. This venue is so easy to get to and pretty close to home. I love it. They played the same set, which I wasn't going to complain about. I should mention the band that is playing before them... they're called KREEP and you can check out their website at www.kreeponline.com. I'm honestly not into growly vocals, but the music is REALLY good and you should lend them an ear. I even picked up their CD on the third night after the show... yep, third night.

We decided to drive up to Maplewood, MN for their last show at The Rock before they break for a few weeks and then head overseas with Def Leppard. It took us just under 6 hours to get up there and we stayed at a hotel about a block from the venue. (I now have over 20,000 miles on my truck and it's still not a year old... *sigh*) Got in around 8:30pm. It obviously wasn't very crowded that early, but it certainly filled up by the time the bands hit the stage. Kreep played first this night. Then this band called Fifty-Seven Stitch (I think they're a band local to that venue) played. They were actually pretty good. I think I've seen them before at that venue. I have to mention the 4 incredibly short men who scurried up to the front of the stage and got in front of me when I was heading up there. GRRR ARGH. I kid you not, I could have rested my chin on top of their heads. LOL At least they were short. I thought, if Scotti comes out on stage and sees these four tiny men in front of me, he's going to crack up laughing. HEHE But then one of them left. Maybe to get a drink or use the bathroom, hell if I know. Then the one who was covering his face with his jacket to avoid the smoke left. Who knows why, but I snatched the opportunity and moved up against the monitor. Only had two tiny men to fend off on my left side and let me tell you, they were SHOVERS. OMG. I had to fight for my spot the entire night. BLAH. I have a bruise on my leg. But it was worth it. I give up my spot in front of Scotti for NO ONE. :hmph:

Again, they played the same set but with just as much enthusiasm if not more. Have I mentioned that I just LOVE Skid Row? I've got some new picks to add to my ever growing collection of Skid Row guitar picks. I collect one of every color. LOL Most of them have teeth marks in them from Scotti. After the show they pretty much booked since it was the last night and I'm sure they were just dying to get the hell home. I'd have been too. We hung out and talked to the guys from Kreep for a while before heading back to our hotel. Only took us 5 1/2 hours to get home on Sunday. I think that's a new record for us. So I'd tell you to go see Skid Row, but you're not going to be able to unless you live near any of these dates:

NOVEMBER

11/3/03 FRANKFURT JAHRUNDEHALLE
11/4/03 KOLN PALLADIUM
11/6/03 HAMBURG SPORTHALLE
11/7/03 BERLIN ARENA TREPTOW
11/10/03 STUTTGART CONGRESSCENTRUM
11/11/03 WINTERTHUR (SWITZERLAND) EULACHHALLE
11/12/03 MUNICH ZENITH

(UK dates Skid Row only)

11/14/03 Bradford, UK Rios
11/15/03 Glasgow, UK Garage
11/16/03 Nottingham, UK Rock City
11/17/03 Dudley, UK JBs
11/19/03 London, UK Mean Fiddler
11/20/03 Manchester, UK Academy
11/21/03 Cardiff, UK Engine Room

If you do, then by all means, GO GO GO! I'm not sure if they are bringing Kreep with them or not. I don't think I remembered to ask. Probably not if they are opening for Def Leppard. So um, tell Scotti that Cherie said hello if you should see them. :)~

So what else do I have lined up this month... we're going to see Enuff Z'Nuff on Saturday (10/25) at the U.S. Beer Company in Chicago. Ought to be a cool show, nice and close to home too. Then on Thursday (10/30) we're driving down to Peoria, IL to see L.A. Guns at a place called Sharkie's Live. I've never been there before that I can recall. It's about a 3 1/2 hour drive each way. They're worth it though. Plus I haven't seen them in so long now. On Halloween we're going to see L.A. Guns again at the Penny Road Pub in Barrington. That's VERY close to home! I plan to dress as a vampire for the occasion. Then on Saturday (11/1... can you believe it'll be friggin' November already?!?!?!) we're going back up to The Rock in Maplewood, MN to see RATT. I haven't seen RATT in ages! I miss them. We've got two more RATT shows on 11/7 at Sean Kaley's and 11/8 at the Brat Stop. That pretty much wraps up my concert schedule for the time being.

I want to wish a happy belated birthday to Kenny Kweens (10/20) and a happy early birthday to Bobby Blotzer (10/22).

Gotta go. I'll post more show reviews in the coming weeks. I'm sure you all eagerly await them. I really need emoticons on this website... *P*E*A*C*E*

September 26 , 2003

There hasn't been a whole lot in shows to go to since July.

In early August, we drove up to Canada to visit some friends that we've made through the L.A. Guns message board over the past few years. Stayed there for about a week. Had a great time!!! I finally got to see Niagara Falls too.

We went to see Skid Row in Battle Creek, MI at Planet Rock a few weeks ago. OMG, what a fantastic show! I didn't take any pictures, so I have none to share... it's really a show you have to see for yourself anyway. I love those guys. Make sure you buy their new CD and DVD too.. check it out at www.skidrow.com.

I skipped out on an L.A. Guns show last weekend in St. Paul, MN. I had really really wanted to go but there's so much around here that needed to be done, I opted to stay home. We're undertaking a MAJOR renovation project on our house that needs to be completed before Christmas. And see, I knew I'd have another chance to see them... there's 2 shows coming up at the end of October that I fully intend to go to.

Okay enough about me... in music news: I guess the Brides of Destruction CD has been completed and is being released first in Japan and then supposedly worldwide. I haven't read any other updates on that front. Last I heard, Nikki was interested in a Motley reunion tour, as well were Mick and Tommy, but it doesn't sound like Vince wants to cooperate. *shrugs* If they tour again, that'd be fantastic of course, however, if it's going to be a complete fiasco, I'd honestly just like to remember Motley Crue the way I'd last seen them and leave it at that. I'd rather see Brides of Destruction hit the road!

RATT is going to be touring this Fall starting October 15, 2003 and running through the first week of December. I don't have any dates in at this time, but I'm told it should be any day now. L.A. Guns dates should be in any day now as well.

I haven't been real good on keeping up with my music news... if I think of anything else, I'll come back and post it. Right now I best be getting myself to bed. Night. :)

July 20, 2003

I took some time to wash the Audi yesterday since it was feeling neglected. Flynn is driving it now, so of course it's falling apart. My god, when I started it, I thought it was going to die. In fact, it did. But it started again. LOL The exhaust sounds terrible, the starter sounds like it's on its way out the door, the brakes are in bad shape, the inside is a shambles. MEN. Can't they just take care of the vehicle that they're driving? I wanted to clean the inside of it today, but he took it with him to work. *sigh* So instead I mowed the lawn. And I have to do some laundry.

But before I do all that, let's talk about the Cooper show last night. The drive to Waukesha was quick. It was a full-fledge county fair, rides and everything. Their lemonade shake-ups left much to be desired though. We got there around 6:30 and there was already quite a crowd gathered in front of the stage. There was no way we were going to get very close. We spotted Randy (met him when he did sound for RATT) and went over to talk to him for a bit. There was such a crowd by the time Alice went on that we stayed back by the sound stage area for the show. That way we had a better view of the entire stage. It's called the Bare Bones Tour, but there were still enough theatrics to make it very entertaining. And when did Alice get such a band of hotties together? HAHA... Chuck looks great. He really hasn't changed much since he was with L.A. Guns, except maybe his hair is a little longer. Ryan's hair was bright red, though I don't think it was permanent because you could see some blonde under it still. They played all the songs you'd expect to hear, and then we were treated to a new song called Man of the Year from their upcoming album, I think he said it was called Eyes of Alice Cooper? I realized I don't know as many songs as I thought I did, but even the ones I didn't recognize sounded great. Alice has his daughter on tour with him apparently. It started to rain for a bit, heavy at first, but then it thankfully let up shortly afterwards. The show was supposed to start at 8:15, but they didn't really get on stage until closer to 8:30 and I think it was over by 10pm. We hung around for a while, I wanted to say Hello to Ryan if he was around, but no such luck. Next time. :)

The parking lot there was gravel and made my poor truck all dirty again. :hmph: PHOOEY. The rain didn't help either. LOL Alright, I've got things to do and people to see. Hope everyone had a great weekend.

July 18, 2003

Yesterday my new license plates came in for the Vue. So I just spent a few hours today washing and waxing it and making it look all purdy. Then I took a bunch of pictures. It's about time my Vue has it's own webpage on the internet! ;)   2003 Saturn Vue

Tomorrow we are going to see Alice Cooper at the Waukesha County Fairgrounds in Wisconsin. Mainly I'm going because Ryan Roxie is in Cooper's band. Also I recently learned that Chuck Garric is also on the road with them. I haven't seen him since L.A. Guns. Anywho, it's not far from the house and I think the weather is supposed to be nice tomorrow.

We skipped the RNS show tonight. I just found out that Blas isn't on the road with Slaughter. :hmph: And on top of that, I read a not-so-hot review on the show.

After talking with Chip after the MSX show, I felt guilty for owning hardly any of their CDs. So I picked up a few. Welcome to Blue Island being one of those few. OMG, I totally absolutely LOVE this CD! You've got to get this CD. But don't open up the CD insert in a public place... such as your place of employment. DOH! hahaha... I slapped it shut right away and then found my friend in the office who is quite shy and handed it to her. She opened it up, her eyes bugged out, she said "OH MY!" and shut it very quickly. HEHEHE... that was fun. The CD is awesome, it really is. Here, go buy it NOW.  There's only one song on the CD ("Can't Wait") that I sometimes skip over if I really want to hear the next song.

I bought the 5th Harry Potter book - Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. I finished it in 4 days. It was a great read. I'm really enjoying that series. The movies haven't quite been up to par with the books, but they're still good. Looking forward to the next. :) I also bought a book called Why Girls Are Weird. It's a book about a woman who starts her own website journal and even though it's based in fact, she tends to bend the truth a bit. She makes a few internet friends whom she eventually meets in person and then has to face differentiating between her "real" life and "internet" life. It's a friggin' hilarious book. I laughed so hard I couldn't breathe and tears were rolling down my cheeks. And parts of it were sad and I was all teary eyed. It's a good book, I recommend it! The author is Pamela Ribon. She also has a real online journal at www.pamie.com that has a lot of great stories in it as well.

Okie doke. I'll post an update on the Cooper show when I have time. In the mean time, go buy Welcome to Blue Island, pick up the book - Why Girls Are Weird, and visit pamie.com. See? There now you have something to do. I'm gonna go put together the page for my Vue.
