ANGELES, April 28 (Reuters) - Former ``Baywatch'' star Pamela Anderson
and the ex-husband she helped jail for hitting her -- rock drummer Tommy
Lee -- are attempting a reconciliation, she said in a TV interview aired
on Wednesday night.
``We're working on rebuilding our family. Yeah, it's really wonderful,''
she told the syndicated TV show ``Access Hollywood'' in the first of a
two-part interview. ``It's been a very difficult year for both of us ...
we've gone through a lot together.''
Asked whether she would remarry the tattooed Motley Crue drummer, the
Canadian-born actress said, ``I guess we kind of have to, don't we? ...
It'll be more fun now.''
She added, ``There is no other (man) ... or any other place I want to
be, so we have to make this work.''
In the second part of the interview, which will be aired on Thursday,
Anderson said when Lee hit her in February 1998, it was the first time
he had ever been violent with her.
Lee was charged with spousal abuse for the attack on the actress at their
Malibu home. He later pleaded no contest to a felony abuse charge and
was sentenced to six months in jail and three years' probation.
``It was an isolated event. It was one time that he (Lee) was very physically
physical with me. He's worked so much in anger management. He's also evolved
as a person,'' she said of Lee.
The interview comes about two weeks after the actress made headlines around
the world by revealing that she had undergone surgery to have her breast
implants removed, reducing her famed bustline from a 36D to her natural
36C.
